| PORTO ALEGRE-(5-1-2004) This new year is now officially started, and the 2004 Soling Worlds approaches fast and promises lots of fun starting January 21st.
With an excellent entry list recovering almost all boats disapeared in Brazil, some more from Argentina and other countries will make this sailing event as an special one in South America specially for Brazil next 2007 Pan American Games Organizer;
The social events are being prepared carefully by the organizers and were one of the things that kept them busy the whole year thinking to make sailor's life easy and cheap during the championship !
Starting with a swimming pool cocktail at the start of the championship, samba music, etc. and followed in another day with a southern Brazilian barbecue with a typical dance show and lots of caipirinhas.
During the middle of the championship a formal dinner to all sailors where some special prizes and race prizes will be awarded.
The night after will be welcome in a fantastic experience insight a Samba School, sailor will get the opportunity to feel close the carnival, the samba, `mulatas`, and off course the pricnipal ingredient the ` caipirinha `.
The closing ceremony at the last day with a fantastic cocktail, prize giving, and followed by a dance party open to all Porto Alegre people.
Organizers didn't miss any details and prepared after each racing day a special `Canoa` of free beer for all participants and people involved. Also thinking on the youngs ones some free entries to night clubs during the week will be offered and lots of VDS girls members were invited and will be around each day.
Looking forward to see you soon the VDS is already open to any competidor and welcomes any one arriving soon to practice or just to know the city and have fun at the Rio Guaiba riverside.
